Yunnan Ethnic Village is located on the north shore of Dianchi Lake at the foot of the Western Hills. It is a theme park displaying cultures and customs of all the ethnic groups in Yunnan Province. There are altogether 56 ethnics in China, among which 26 ethnic minorities live in Yunnan province. It is the only province in China with so many ethnics.

Yunnan Ethnic Village occupies an area of 7,500 acres and includes 26 ethnic minorities. Each of ethnic minorities here has an own village, among the three largest are the Bai, Dai and Yi ethnic villages. There are a folklore museum, a museum of ethnic waxworks, and a theater for ethic singing and dancing performances. In addition, a central square is built as a reflection of unity among various ethnic groups.

Here, you can get to know the long history and the ethnic special customs; you can also enjoy peculiar residential architecture and beautiful landscape. The interesting legends of Yunnan always attract and haunt people from home and abroad.
