Huanglong

Huanglong

Huanglong is another World Heritage Site in Sichuan province, located at the foot of Mt. Min. It is actually a 7km long and 400m wide calcification gorge, and well-known by its unique travertine formation. It boasts endangered animals, including giant pandas and snub-nose monkeys.

Among the various scenes of Huanglong, the most eye-catching is Huanglong Valley, where colorful ponds appear. In the sunlight, the limestone deposit in these ponds gives a shimmering golden hue, and the stream winding in the forest, just likes a dragon. It is well worth to enjoy the four superb sceneries in Huanglong, like colorful ponds, snowy mountains, valleys and forests.
