Goddess Creek

Goddess Creek

On the border between Wu Gorge and Xiling Gorge, it is Goddess Creek. Chengnong Gorge, Mianzhu Gorge, Yingwu Gorge and Longchang Gorge are four parts along Goddess Creek. Mianzhu Gorge is especially renowned for its danger and Yingwu Gorge is well-known for its elegance.
The unique method for viewing the natural scenery of the ancient village and the flavor of Tujia (the local ethnic minority) is drifting along Goddess Creek in small open sampans. One sampan is usually steered by six boatmen who are local famers. You can also enjoy the songs from the rowers as they row the boat. When reaching the shallow-stream places, they will paddle in the swift-flowing stream to tow the boat upstream by the rope.
Cruising along the creek by boat, visitors will become immersed in the wonders of zigzagging watercourses, primitive environment, canzonet of the boat tracker, and mysterious culture along banks.
