    Day 1Arrive in Shanghai

    When you arrive in Shanghai, a private English-speaking tour guide will be waiting for you at the international arrival hall. After meeting with the guide, you and your luggage will be transferred to your hotel which is well located and near to the Bund and where you can enjoy a very easy life.

    Day 2Shanghai

    This morning your tour guide will take you first to Shanghai Museum and then to Nanjing Road, and in the afternoon to the very trendy and popular Xintiandi Pedestrian Shopping District. Town God's Temple is also included in your journey. Next is a visit to a specialized cashmere sweater store. In the early evening, we take a cruise on the Huangpu River to enjoy the beautiful scenery along the river, contrasting The Bund on the “old” side and the spectacular, brightly lighted new skyscrapers of the Lujiazui. After the river cruise, you will have a flavored dinner tonight, and then enjoy a luxury seat at an acrobatics show at Portman Ritz Carlton Hotel, Shanghai.

    Day 3Shanghai/Suzhou

    After breakfast, your will visit Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Center and Duolun Road, and then leave for Suzhou. Upon arrival, you could go Ancient Canal for a stroll.

    Day 4Suzhou

    The first destination is Suzhou Museum, which is designed by the world-famous Chinese - American architect - I. M. Pei, followed by a visit to the No. 1 Silk Factory where you could witness the overall process of making silk that covers from doing with silkworm cocoon to end product. After lunch,visit Humble Administrator's Garden, Lingering Garden and Pingjiang Road.

    Day 5Suzhou/Wuzhen/Hangzhou

    Day 6Hangzhou/Xi’an

    You will definitely have a fresh and comfort morning, because you will have a boating trip on the West Lake. What’s more, you can also make a tour to the Tea Museum and have a tea-tasting. In the afternoon, proceed to the airport to fly to the ancient capital - Xi’an. Xi’an tour guide will meet you at the airport and take you and your luggage to your hotel.

    Day 7Xi’an

    First-time visitors to Museum of Qin Terra-Cotta Warriors and Horses are often awe-struck to be suddenly face-to-face with the people of China from over 2,000 years ago. This morning, you will be there for yet another unforgettable experience. Following this encounter with history, we will visit the nearby factory workshop. After lunch, we will drive you back to downtown and climb up to the ramparts of the ancient City Wall. This day of amazing sights and experiences will be capped by one of Xi’an’s famous dumpling banquets and a splendid Tang Dynasty Music and Dance Show.

  • Day 8Xi’an/Tianshui

    After rich breakfast at hotel, you will be guided to stroll around North Square of Big Wild Goose Pagoda. After lunch, you will embark on New Orient Express Train to Tianshui. Upon arrival, you will have your tasty dinner, later be transferred to the hotel.

  • Sacred status of Yellow River Mother Sculpture

    Day 9Tianshui/Jiayuguan

    After buffet breakfast at the hotel, you will visit Maijishan Grottoes (nearly 40 minutes’ drive). After lunch, go to Fuxi Temple, which is a holy land of Chinese Worshipers, Tianshui Museum and South Residence (Hu’s Residential Building). After dinner. The train will leave for Jiayuguan.

  • Jiayuguan Gate Tower

    Day 10Jiayuguan

    New Orient Express Train will arrive in Jiayuguan (breakfast and lunch on the train) at noon, and the whole afternoon will be spent to tour around Jiayuguan Gate Tower and Great Wall Museum and landscape in gobi.

    Day 11Jiuquan-Dunhuang

    After buffet breakfast, your tour guide will take you to Jiuquan Park, Jiuquan Ancient City and Luminous Wine Glass Factory. When you after lunch, the train will leave for Liuyuan. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to Dunhuang for dinner.

  • Stunning Mogao Caves in Dunhuang

    Day 12Dunhuang

    When having your breakfast at the hotel, you will  visit the famous Mogao Caves which is culture and art hall that integrates architecture, painted sculpture and murals. At dusk, you will have  a wonderful camel trip around Echoing-sand Mountain and Crescent Spring (camel fees on yourself). Later you will be taken back to the hotel.

  • Day 13Dunhuang/Turpan

    After breakfast at the hotel, you will be driven to Yangguan and Jade Gate Pass and visit Yardang landform which has another famous name “Ghost City ”. In the afternoon, you will be transferred to Liuyuan to embark on the New Orient Express Train to Turpan.

  • Beautiful sceneires at dusk

    Day 14Turpan

    After breakfast on the train, you will arrive in Turpan around 10:00, later you will be sent to hotel for a good rest and lunch. At dusk, you will visit Flaming Mountain, have a Uighur family visit and enjoy the amazing dance performance. You will be taken back to hotel after dinner.

  • Day 15Turpan/Urumqi

    After breakfast at the hotel, you will visit Jiaohe Ruins and Karez Well. After lunch, you will leave for Urumqi, and on your way there, you will have the chance to appreciate the largest Wind Power Plant in Asia and wild Salt Lake. Upon arrival, you can also stroll around the featured International Bazaar. You will be transferred back to the hotel after dinner.

    The tour starts from Tian'anmen Square, which highly symbolize ancient and Modern culture. And then we enter Forbidden City from Tian'anmen gate tower. After lunch, visit Temple of Heaven. Moreover, you will have a special Hutong tour by riding rickshaw. Taste delicious Roast Duck for dinner and enjoy an interesting Kongfu Show at Shicha Lake Theatre in the evening.

    Hello! I’ve watched the documentary video by National Geographic about Silk Road. And there is a place fo chinese muslims and I would like to know where is it exactly in China? Or I mean in which city is located? Also do I need to arrange a visa?

    Sure Beijing Roast Duck is a must for a tour in Beijing. The most traditional brand for duck is Quanjude, of which the one in Qianmen is the most aged and the one in Peace Gate is the largest.
