    Day 1Arrive in Shanghai

    When your plane lands in Shanghai, you will be met by your well trained tour guide and escorted to your hotel where you can rest from your plane trip. Dinner will be on your own. Shanghai combines the vitality and energy of New York with the sense of history you feel in a city like Paris - in fact many visitors compare it to both these cities. You will begin to sense this even from the drive from the airport to your hotel!

  • Lively Town God's Temple

    Day 2 Shanghai

    After buffet breakfast, your guide will take you to Shanghai Museum where you will find some of the very best of historical Chinese art objects presented in an interpretive setting. Next, you will stroll along China’s premier shopping destination, Nanjing Road. After lunch, you will be escorted to the trendy and lively Xintiandi Pedestrian Shopping District. Xintiandi is an intriguing place that appeals to many different people - those with long memories remember old acquaintances and past adventures, foreign visitors experience Xintiandi for its traditional Chinese character. Yes, it surely deserves a visit. Town God's Temple is also included in your journey. Next is a visit to a specialized cashmere sweater store. In the early evening, we take a cruise on the Huangpu River to enjoy the beautiful scenery along the river, contrasting The Bund on the “old” side and the spectacular, brightly lighted new skyscrapers of the Lujiazui. After the river cruise, return hotel. After dinner, enjoy an acrobatics show in Portman Ritz Carlton Hotel, Shanghai.

    Day 3Shanghai/Zhengzhou

    Your destinations today will include Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Center, Yuyuan Garden which is around Town God's Temple. In the afternoon, you will take a flight to Zhengzhou. Upon arrival in Zhengzhou, you will be transferred by your tour guide to the hotel.

    Day 4Zhengzhou

    In the morning, you will be drived to Shaolin Temple, which with its Pagoda Forest, is another UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Temple is known throughout the world as home of Shaolin Monks, who are trained in a particular form of Kongfu. We have arranged a special lunch for you, which is keeping with the site, will be vegetarian. You will visit Pagoda Forest and watch a performance in Monks this afternoon. Later, you will be transferred to your hotel.

  • Longmen Grottoes, stone carving art treasure

    Day 5Zhengzhou/Luoyang/Xi'an

    This morning you will start for Longmen Grottoes (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) which includes some of the finest examples of Chinese Buddhist carving and painting. Because of its location in what was considered the geographical center of China, the Luoyang area has been considered sacred since prehistoric times. Later, you will leave for Xi’an by high speed train. On arrival in Xi'an, you will be escorted to your hotel.

    Day 6Xi’an

    Before witness Museum of Qin Terra-Cotta Warriors and Horses , you might have never imagined this country with such long and mysterious history. This morning, we will take you there. After a rich Chinese lunch, you will visit the terra cotta warrior factory where you can get to know the manufacturing operation of terra-cotta warriors. Return to downtown and visit Ancient City Wall, which features a history of 600 years and is the best preserved city wall in China. On the wall you could have a walk or rent a bicycle and have a unique riding experience (p.s.: bicycle renting fee is on your own). Believe you will have a very pleasant afternoon! Later, you will be transferred to a splendid theater. There you can taste dumpling banquet and watch Tang Palace Music and Dances Show.

    Day 7Xi'an

    You will have a visit to Shaanxi History Museum which houses numerous relics found in this province, and North and South Square of Big Wild Goose Pagoda today. Alternatively, you can choose to visit Small Wild Goose Pagoda and Xi’an Museum instead. After lunch, you will visit Gao’s Courtyard (Bangyan Mansion) which is also known as Bangyan Mansion(Bangyan, the second in final imperial examination in ancient times), a typical local residence with a history of 400 years. You will also watch the local folk art - Shadow Play inside. You may immerse yourself in Moslem Quarter in the afternoon, where almost all Xi’an snacks can be found, and stroll around Bell and Drum Tower square.

  • Charming ancient Big Wild Goose Pagoda

    Day 8Xi'an/Beijing

    You will leave this morning for the capital city, Beijing. When arriving at the airport, your private and professional English-speaking tour guide will meet you at Capital International Airport, and after an a la carte lunch, drive you by private vehicle to Temple of Heaven where the emperor went every year to humble himself in prayer to assure a good harvest for his people. Then you will have a special tour by bicycle rickshaw of the Hutong distinctive traditional housing areas. For your evening dinner, taste delicious Peking Duck at a specialty restaurant. In the evening, you can watch a Beijing Opera performance at Liyuan Theater.

  • Imperial Garden in Forbidden City

    Day 9Beijing

    After buffet breakfast at the hotel, visit Tian'anmen Square, the very heart and center of the Chinese Nation. You will immediately be immersed in China’s ancient and contemporary culture. From there you will walk beneath the famous Mao portrait and enter into the once-secret world of emperors, empresses, court eunuchs and officials which is still known as Forbidden City. Countless tourists from all over the world come here every year to see for themselves the magnificent imperial palaces glimpsed in movies such as “The Last Emperor”. For many, this experience itself is the fulfillment of a lifelong dream. A place can be historic, or memorably beautiful, or iconic in its significance, but the Forbidden City is all three! Later, you will walk through Summer Palace. Once the center of power of the Qing Dynasty in the summer months. A famous feature is the 729 meter long covered walkway, which was recognized as “the longest gallery all over the world” by Guinness World Records. Then a wonderful educational experience at a pearl factory store.

    Day 10 Beijing

    Today you will visit first the Ming Tombs, the site of tombs of 13 Ming Dynasty Emperors, and one part of another UNESCO World Heritage Site. After this stop, you will be driven to an excursion on Great Wall, another absolutely unforgettable experience. After lunch, we will arrange a visit to Jade Museum where you will learn about the importance of jade in Chinese culture, and where you will also be able to buy some souvenirs of your trip. After lunch, we will return to the city to take a stroll on the grounds of the site of the 2008 Olympics, and view Beijing National Stadium (Bird’s Nest) and National Swimming Center (Water Cube) from outside.

    Day 11Depart from Beijing

    After breakfast, you will have some free time before we transfer you to the airport as per your international flight schedule. Your wonderful and memorable China adventure ends here.

    The Town God's Temple may be a good choice, where the featured snack, costume, antique etc. are gathered, especially the Chinese traditional shows will be put on during the traditional festivals.
